Helldivers 2 will bring its Warhammer 40,000 crossover to Xbox on August 12, 2026, with the Castellan’s Creed Legendary Warbond adding Cadian Kasrkin-inspired weapons, armor, and cosmetics. Xbox Wire detailed the full contents in its Warbond announcement.
The Warbond draws from the Cadian Kasrkin, a highly regarded Astra Militarum unit in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Its equipment is built around heavy firepower, battlefield protection, and a very Warhammer-flavored approach to solving problems. In other words, subtlety has been assigned to a different squad.
The August 12 date follows an earlier August 12 teaser that hinted at the crossover before the full Warbond details arrived.

Weapons and the 40-K Meltagun
Castellan’s Creed includes three main weapons, each aimed at a different kind of battlefield chaos:
- R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle: A precision rifle with heavy firepower for targets at range. It is produced using metals from Chara, a world overrun during the First Galactic War.
- P/40-K Bolt Pistol: A compact sidearm with a long service history and plenty of stopping power.
- G/40-K Meltamine: A single-use proximity mine that can burn through nearly anything. It does not distinguish between enemy and friendly footfall, so careless placement could make the squad’s next briefing rather awkward.

The Warbond also adds the 40-K Meltagun Stratagem. Once called in, it fires a superheated beam of thermal energy at close range, giving Helldivers another way to deal with heavily armored threats.

Two Cadian Kasrkin armor sets
The armor selection includes the heavy-tier TG-122 Demo-Trooper and the medium-tier TG-8 Sharpshooter. The Demo-Trooper is modeled after armor worn by the Charan Colonial Guard and is designed for pushing through fortified positions. The Sharpshooter set focuses on a patient, long-range combat style.
Both sets carry the True Grit passive, which improves weapon handling and support weapon reload speeds.

Castellan’s Creed cosmetics and unlock details
The cosmetic rewards include the Camo Cloak and City Fighter’s Resolve capes and player banners. A Castellan’s Green vehicle pattern can be applied to the Shuttle, Hellpod, FRV, and Exosuit, while the Still Standing title gives Helldivers a new way to show off their survival record.
Players can unlock the Warbond from the Destroyer’s Acquisition’s Panel for 1,500 Super Credits. Super Credits can be found in-game or purchased separately, and the Warbond’s rewards are redeemed with Medals earned during play. The content requires the base game, Super Credits, and game progression to unlock.
Castellan’s Creed follows the Xbox-themed HELLDIVERS 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond and the PlayStation-themed HELLDIVERS 2 x Killzone Legendary Warbond. Its arrival will give Xbox squads another set of loadout options just as the next battle for Super Earth gets underway.
