Crimson Desert Version 2.03.01 Fixes Lantern Controls and Duo Minigame Access

Steam PC players can install the patch now, while the Steam Mac build remains in progress.

Crimson Desert Version 2.03.01 is now available on Steam for PC, fixing customized controller inputs for lantern aiming and restoring access to the Duo minigame in Tommaso. The Mac build is still in progress, while Pearl Abyss says the patch is being distributed across all platforms. The developer detailed the changes in its Steam patch announcement. The patch follows Crimson Desert Version 2.03.00 update, which added Precise Movement to Photo Mode, changed Water Stride, and included DLSS Ray Reconstruction and mission fixes.

At least for PC players, this is a focused maintenance patch rather than a content update. Customized lantern-aim controls should now work correctly, Duo NPCs should appear in Tommaso, and certain interactions with NPCs should no longer crash the game.

Compared with the earlier Version 2.01.00 patch, which added the Gold Bar Investment Mission and addressed problems across combat, camp systems, menus, graphics, and localization, Version 2.03.01 keeps its attention on three specific player-facing issues.

Patch Details

Fixed an issue where lantern aiming would not function with the newly assigned input after customizing the lantern-aim input for controllers.
Fixed an issue where NPCs for Duo would not appear in Tommaso, making it impossible to play the Duo minigame.
Fixed an issue where the game would crash when interacting with NPCs in certain situations.
