Pearl Abyss Targets Crimson Desert’s First DLC for 2026
The developer will share details about the DLC's structure, pricing, and release schedule during the third quarter.

Crimson Desert will receive its first DLC before the end of 2026 if Pearl Abyss meets its current target. The developer said the add-on is being created around a new gameplay experience.
Pearl Abyss outlined the plan in its latest financial report, describing a wider set of follow-up plans for the fantasy open-world game. Those plans include DLC, platform expansions, and the possibility of sequel titles, with the company hoping to keep the game supported through regular content updates tied to its world, characters, and regions.
Pearl Abyss is also considering multiplayer functionality, although adding online features would require work across server architecture, game balance, cross-platform stability, and live-service operations. Neither a sequel nor a multiplayer project has been confirmed as active development at this stage.
Pearl Abyss plans to reveal more in Q3
The first DLC is currently in development and is targeting a release “within this year.” Pearl Abyss will share its structure, pricing, and exact release schedule during the third quarter, giving players a clearer idea of what the expansion will include and when it will arrive.
The report does not confirm how many DLC releases Pearl Abyss has planned or define the full shape of its post-launch content. For now, the developer is keeping its attention on the first add-on, saying its priority is the quality and successful execution of that release.
That leaves the next chapter of Kliff’s journey through Pywel open-ended, but players should have more of the game’s world to experience before 2026 is over if the current target holds.
