Cities: Skylines 2 is trying a Steam beta to cut mod-related loading delays
Paradox opened a Steam-only beta branch for a hotfix aimed at long loading times when mods are installed, and it wants player feedback before widening the fix.

Cities: Skylines 2 has a Steam-only beta branch live now for a hotfix that targets long loading times when mods are installed.
Paradox said it wants more data points before it pushes the fix farther, so anyone who owns the game on Steam can opt in through the beta branch menu and select the loading_fix option. Steam’s instructions for changing a game version are available through Steam Support.

If you try the branch and want to turn it off afterward, switch back to the Default Public Version in the same menu. Paradox also asked players to send any extra feedback to the Cities: Skylines 2 bug reports forum.
If you test the branch, tell us what you think in the comments, and follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram.
