If you’ve ever felt a twinge of nostalgia while reminiscing about some epic matches in Counter-Strike, you’ll be thrilled to hear that Cache is returning! That’s right, after more than five years of absence, one of the most iconic maps in the CS universe could soon be gracing our screens again, and all it needs is a thumbs up from the folks at Valve.
FMPONE Completes the Cache Remake for CS2
The mastermind behind this revival? None other than Shawn “FMPONE” Snelling, one of the original creators of Cache. He’s breathed new life into this beloved battleground for CS2. FMPONE took to X to share his excitement and drop a few teasers, including some tantalizing screenshots that made my heartbeat. But hold your horses, those eager to jump back in will have to wait a bit longer. The link to access the remake on the Steam Community workshop isn’t live yet because Valve has to give it their official nod first.

You can almost feel the collective sighs of anticipation from pro players and streamers alike. Erik “fl0m” Flom even chimed in on social media, urging Valve to “wake up” and make this happen sooner rather than later. Who can blame him? We’ve been deprived for too long!
