Since Diablo 4’s Lord of Hatred launch breakdown, Blizzard has had time to gather some early numbers on how players are spending time in Sanctuary. The company shared a stats card on X that puts the expansion’s opening weeks in stark terms, with Mephisto having taken down 704,000 players and 392 billion monsters falling to the player base.
The same graphic also shows where class picks stand. Blizzard says players have created 1.4 million Paladins and 2.1 million Warlocks so far, which gives the spell-focused class a clear lead in the early days of the expansion.
That lines up with how Lord of Hatred was built, since the expansion added both classes to Diablo 4 and gave players a fresh reason to start over, level again, and test new builds. The Paladin still has a strong following, but Blizzard’s own numbers make it plain that Warlock has grabbed more attention out of the gate.
