Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players dealing with annoying loadout menu problems can breathe a little easier now. Update 1.78 just landed, squashing the bug that made customizing your gear a headache after the Season 5 patch. Not a total cure-all, but a step in the right direction.
Yesterday’s Season 5 patch left a few unwelcome bugs, especially in the Custom Loadout menus, where some players found themselves stuck or unable to interact appropriately. That glitch was a big deal since loadouts are the heart and soul of any shooter experience.
Update 1.78 rolled out on August 8 and, while Treyarch hasn’t shared a full changelog, they confirmed on X that the loadout issue has been fixed. The message was clear: “The issue where some players were experiencing difficulties interacting with the Custom Loadout menus in-game and in the main menus has been resolved.” Good news for anyone who’s been tearing their hair out trying to tweak their setups.

That’s not the end of the story, though. The official Black Ops 6 Trello board still lists a couple of pesky issues:
- Ranked Play New Season Flow, Leaderboards, and Player Ranks are showing inaccurate rank info.
- Calling in a Dreadnought can leave players stuck unable to crouch, slide, or change stance.
Not the most comforting bugs to have hanging around, but at least the loadout menus are back in action. Guess Treyarch is prioritizing what annoys the most players first.
