ARC Raiders Adds Two Driftcoat Colors as Embark Targets Exploit Abuse
Store Update 1.37.0 is going live across all platforms with automatic cosmetic additions and follow-up investigations into Seeker Grenades and Departure sign-ups.

ARC Raiders Store Update 1.37.0 is going live on all platforms today, adding two color variants for the Driftcoat outfit and outlining Embark Studios’ response to the recent duplication exploit.
The update adds black-and-green and red versions of Driftcoat. Players who already own the outfit will receive the variants automatically, with no restart required. Embark also addressed reports that Seeker Grenades have felt weaker since last week’s update, along with an issue that can automatically enroll players in Departure after they complete the “Deal Damage” challenge by dealing 100,000 damage.
Embark’s Steam announcement says the Seeker Grenade problem comes from an unintended effect connected to a projectile collision change. A fix is still in development, and the studio will share more information when it is ready.
The studio is also continuing account actions tied to last week’s duplication glitch. The response will range from warnings and removal of exploit-linked Coins or items to suspensions in severe cases. Embark says players who received a small number of duplicated items without knowingly exploiting the glitch may receive a warning rather than a suspension.
Patch Notes: Store Update 1.37.0
Store Update 1.37.0 mainly affects Driftcoat cosmetics, while the remaining items cover unresolved gameplay issues and penalties connected to the duplication glitch.
- Store Update 1.37.0 is going live right now on all platforms with two new colour variants for the Driftcoat outfit – black/green and red. You will get them automatically if you already own the skin, no restart required.
- We have seen your feedback about the Seeker Grenade feeling weaker since last week’s update and we have been investigating the issue. We noticed an unintended effect from a collision change on the projectiles and the team is working on a fix – we will let you know as soon as it’s ready.
- We have also been looking into your reports of being automatically signed up for Departure after completing the “Deal Damage” challenge (reaching 100,000 damage dealt). This is unintentional, and we’re working on a fix.
- Following last week’s fix for the duplication glitch, we’ve been banning accounts that gained a significant advantage from exploiting it. That effort continues this week, similarly to how we handled it in February:
- Warnings for low-severity cases where abuse was limited.
- Removal of Coins and items tied to exploit activity.
- Suspensions for the severe cases, particularly, where exploit usage had a significant impact on the in-game economy or other players’ experience.
Players who deliberately exploited the glitch but didn’t gain a major advantage will not be suspended. And if you simply received a few items from someone who was duping, without knowingly exploiting the glitch yourself, you may receive a warning.
Our goal is to only take action against those who significantly and deliberately abused the exploit, not to catch players who were incidentally affected.
Thank you to everyone who reported the issue and continued to play according to the rules.
