ARC Raiders Store Update 1.40.0 Is Going Live With Phantom Targets
The update adds black and yellow Volare outfit variants, starts the first Phantom Targets project, and sets the project's second part for August 18.
ARC Raiders Store Update 1.40.0 is going live on August 4 with two new Volare outfit colors and the start of the Phantom Targets event. Embark’s Steam announcement also addresses two ongoing issues that are still waiting on fixes.
The Volare outfit is getting black and yellow variants, giving Raiders a couple of fresh ways to look suspiciously stylish while dealing with the ARC. The update also begins the first part of the Phantom Targets Player Project.
Phantom Targets begins
Shani has found inconsistencies in the surveillance data but has not identified their source. Players will need to repair faulty Antennas to triangulate the signals, then face the ARC using less conventional tactics.
The second part of the Player Project is scheduled to arrive with Update 1.42 on August 18. That date is also when the Phantom Targets Event will take place, according to the announcement.
ARC Raiders and THE FINALS crossover
Embark’s Summer Celebration is continuing across its games. Players who spend three hours in ARC Raiders can earn the Azimuth Outfit for THE FINALS.
This follows the earlier ARC Raiders crossover content tied to THE FINALS, including the Azimuth-themed rewards added during the previous store updates.
Patch Notes: Store Update 1.40.0
Store Update 1.40.0 focuses on new cosmetic variants, the Phantom Targets activity, and a cross-game reward. Embark is still working on a fix for Queen and Matriarch stomp damage that can pass through walls or reach players from too far away. The studio is also investigating PC launch error codes.
