Apex Legends players who were running into crashes on AMD hardware now have a new fix to try. AMD’s 26.9.1 patch is available, and the game’s latest Steam update notice says it will fully resolve the problem.
Affected players can find the relevant details in AMD’s 26.9.1 release notes. The new patch replaces the temporary advice to return to driver version 26.7.1 while the crash investigation continued.
That earlier workaround was aimed at players experiencing crashes with the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. The RX 9070 XT crash coverage documented the driver rollback as the immediate option before AMD’s newer patch became available.
This is a stability update rather than a gameplay patch. The notice does not list Legend changes, weapon adjustments, new content, or balance updates, so players unaffected by the AMD crash have no gameplay changes to account for from this announcement.
