The Hotline Miami series has landed on next-gen consoles, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Originally developed by Dennaton Games and published by Devolver Digital, the series has been a hit since its debut in 2012. And if you already own the games, you’re in for a treat: existing owners can upgrade to the new versions for free.
For those who have previously bought the games on older platforms, upgrading to the new version won’t cost you an extra dime. That’s right; free upgrades are available for existing owners. Additionally, the new versions come with fresh Achievements and Trophies to add to your collection.
Hotline Miami took the world by storm in 2012 with its unique take on retro-style graphics and intense action. Its well-reviewed sequel, Hotline Miami: Wrong Number, kept the momentum going when it was released in 2015. Set in an alternate 1989 Miami, the game plunges players into the role of a mysterious figure who embarks on a violent spree against criminals. Guided by enigmatic voices from an answering machine, the gameplay is as intense as it is challenging.
For new players, Hotline Miami and its sequel, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, are priced at $9.99 and $14.99, respectively. You can get both in a bundle for $19.99 if you want both.
