Escape From Tarkov Insomnia Quest Gets Reworked

Escape From Tarkov, the intense and hyper-realistic first-person shooter, has always been known for its commitment to delivering high immersion to its players. Among the many quests and tasks that players can undertake, the “Insomnia” quest given by the in-game character Prapor has always been exciting and challenging. However, with the latest patch, the dynamics of this quest have shifted.

Prapor, a fundamental in-game trader and quest giver in EFT, provides players with the “Insomnia” task. The backdrop of this mission is deeply intertwined with the game’s lore. Tarkov, a city in turmoil and conflict, has become a ground of tactical warfare even at night. Prapor’s men, who previously could maneuver during nighttime, are now being targeted. This dark twist brings about the task of eliminating the enemy operatives at night, making the streets of Tarkov a little less dangerous.

Previously, players used the map known as “The Laboratory” for swift PvP combat to accomplish the task. Why this change? The developers haven’t given an explicit reason, but several possible motivations could exist.

The rewards, while unchanged, now seem a tad harder to achieve. Players will earn a generous amount of XP, Roubles, a bump in their reputation with Prapor, and the much-coveted Night Vision Goggles. But, the road to these rewards is now undeniably more arduous.
