Escape From Tarkov “One Less Loose End” Quest Guide
Find the Lab journal in Factory, extract with it, then stash it inside a house at Woods' old sawmill.
The key to One Less Loose End is extracting from Factory with the Lab journal. Fail to extract with it and the item is lost, leaving the Woods objective out of reach until you retrieve it again. Picking up the journal also opens a choice between Peacekeeper’s quest and Therapist’s A Healthy Alternative. This guide covers Peacekeeper’s route.
Requirements and objectives
You need Peacekeeper Loyalty Level 2 to start the quest. This is a trader loyalty requirement, not a stated character-level requirement.
- Locate and obtain the Lab journal in Factory.
- Stash the journal at the old sawmill on Woods.
Equipment
You need one Lab journal. It is found in raid, appears only while the quest is active, and transfers to your quest-item inventory when picked up.
How to complete One Less Loose End
Find the journal in Factory
Search the laboratory on the second floor. The journal has several possible locations across its two rooms:
- First room, on the trolley.
- First room, on the chest of drawers beside the glass cabinet.
- Second room, in the bottom compartment of the right industrial shelf.
- Second room, in the small fridge on the floor.
- Second room, on the right desk.
Once you pick it up, extract from Factory with the journal. The item is lost if you fail to extract.
Stash the journal at Woods’ old sawmill
Go to the old sawmill in the eastern part of Woods and place the journal inside the house there.
