Digital Extremes has officially released the highly anticipated Duviri Paradox update for Warframe, available now on all platforms. This massive expansion offers a mind-bending story-driven campaign for all players to enjoy, regardless of their progression. Accompanying the launch is an enthralling gameplay trailer that provides a deeper look into the Duviri Paradox’s captivating narrative and gameplay.
Announced back in March with a cinematic trailer, the Duviri Paradox takes inspiration from the roguelike genre. Players will traverse a Void-wrecked, color-shifting reality in this latest addition to the Warframe universe.
Upon logging into Warframe, new players will be given a choice to play through the game’s main path with a Warframe or take on the role of the Drifter in the Duviri Paradox. For returning players, the Duviri Paradox can be accessed through a quest in their codex.
The Duviri Paradox features three game modes to continue the post-Quest journey: The Circuit, The Duviri Experience, and The Lone Story. The Circuit is a Warframe-only endless game mode, The Duviri Experience offers a fully open-world adventure, and The Lone Story provides a solo narrative experience.
As described in the gameplay trailer, players will take on the role of The Drifter in reality, unlike anything experienced in Warframe before. The expansion’s content is available to all players, irrespective of their progress in the game. The Drifter embarks on an endless cycle of life, death, and rebirth, fighting to free a stunning new landscape from the control of the oppressive Child King, Dominus Thrax.
Each Spiral in Duviri features its own story, unique threats, and a constantly shifting environment that will challenge players. The Undercroft houses familiar warriors, and the Decree system allows customization of each playthrough. The Drifter can be upgraded with a new suite of Intrinsics, and players can enjoy new activities like Maw Fishing and Komi. The expansion’s melee-focused combat requires both skill and patience. Players can also explore the Duviri Paradox aboard the new Kaithe mount.
