CD Projekt Red has announced that fans can look forward to new details about the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, Phantom Liberty, this June. The expansion is set to introduce an entirely new district in Night City, providing players with a spy-thriller adventure like no other.
Idris Elba is set to join the cast, taking on the role of Solomon Reed, an FIA Agent for the New United States of America. The expansion will also feature Sasha Grey, voicing Ash, a radio DJ on the in-game station 89.7 Growl FM. Excitingly, Keanu Reeves will return as Johnny Silverhand, alongside a fresh lineup of new characters.
Phantom Liberty boasts the largest budget of any CD Projekt Red DLC thus far, and investor relations manager Marek Bugdoł has high hopes for its success. Bugdoł anticipates the new adventures and characters will not only attract existing Cyberpunk fans but also bring in many new players to Night City.
Although Phantom Liberty is currently the only planned expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, the company has confirmed that the next Cyberpunk game, Project Orion, will enter development after its release. CD Projekt Red North America, a new US-based studio, will be responsible for the project.
