Dota 2’s TI11 Prize Pool nears $10 million

In the wake of Dota 2’s prestigious tournament, The International 11, Valve released a Battle Pass with tons of surprises and rewards. While there are Battle Pass rewards hidden behind each level, the battle pass itself contributes to the total prize pool thanks to its 25% share of purchases made by regular players, which is exactly why The International is the biggest Dota 2 tournament of the year.

In almost a week after the Battle Pass launch, the total prize pool sits at $9.8 million, and it’s expected to reach $10 million before the week concludes. This prize pool was reached just a week after the launch of the Dota 2 TI11 Battle Pass. Not to mention, there are still 36 days until the prize pool contribution concludes and the event starts.

Keep in mind that the prize pool usually skyrockets once a discount ascends, which should arrive halfway through its timeline. Considering the launch of the Battle Pass was delayed, this Battle Pass is likely to run for an additional 1 month after the event concludes.

The International is an annual esports world championship tournament for Dota 2, hosted and produced by the game’s developer, Valve. The elite esports event is considered a sacred place for all Dota 2 players, and every player’s dream is to qualify for this event and reach the best possible ranking. Last but not least, TI11 will probably pile up a massive prize pool, based on its gradual increase and consistency over the past years.
