Activision Blizzard has discovered their financial standing for the second quarter of 2020. Whopping numbers for amidst a pandemic, beating the skepticism among Activision Blizzard fans. Understandably, a huge chunk of the revenue for the second quarter comes from the two most popular games, World of Warcraft and the phenomenal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and its Battle Royale Iteration, Warzone predominantly.
Activision notices a massive player base increase thanks to Call of Duty Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Call of Duty Mobile solely. As reported in the financial call, the company has managed to entertain 102 million monthly active users.
Blizzard, on the other side, managed to please around 32M of active monthly users thanks to four titles. Those are World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Overwatch, and Diablo Immortal. World of Warcraft’s net revenue. However, mobile games are also apportioning huge waves of players, and they shouldn’t be a part of underestimation.
