Blackmaw Hold is reached through the furbolg tunnel in northern Azshara, where Classic's sealed Timbermaw gate once stood. Start on the Azshara side and follow the tunnel into the mountain. The instance portal is farther inside, not directly at the outside entrance.

How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel into northern Azshara and find the furbolg tunnel around 38.7, 33.4 on the Azshara map.
- Enter through the former gate area and follow the tunnel into the mountain with your group.
- Continue to the instance portal. Its underground position falls around 66.6, 84.4 on the Winterspring map, but the approach begins through the Azshara tunnel.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Horde players can use Valormok before heading northwest through Azshara. Alliance groups can approach from Talrendis Point and travel north. Meet outside the Azshara tunnel rather than travelling to the better-known Timbermaw passage between Felwood, Moonglade and Winterspring.
Before You Go
Azshara and Winterspring coordinates describe different points on the same approach. The map here marks the outside tunnel mouth in Azshara. Do not use the portal's Winterspring coordinates as an instruction to climb down from that zone's surface.
Agree on the outside tunnel as the meeting point and keep everyone together for the walk inside. This entrance guide does not map the branches within Blackmaw Hold. Gather your supplies before the journey, since reaching the tunnel is separate from clearing the dungeon.
