WoW Forever Blackrock Spire Entrance and Lower and Upper Routes
Lower and Upper Blackrock Spire share the same mountain approach. Enter Blackrock Mountain, then take the ascending route to the Spire portal rather than descending towards Blackrock Depths.
Location at a Glance
- Zone: Searing Gorge
- Level guidance: 55-60; Upper generally 59-60
- Version: World of Warcraft: Forever
How to Reach the Entrance
- Reach Blackrock Mountain from southern Searing Gorge or northern Burning Steppes. The map marks the Searing Gorge approach, around 35, 85.
- Inside the mountain, follow the route upwards towards Blackrock Spire instead of taking the lower quarry route to BRD.
- Gather at the Spire portal. Once inside, follow the route for Lower Blackrock Spire or the locked access towards Upper, according to the run your party arranged.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Both factions can use whichever mountain approach best fits their flight paths. Give party members a precise meeting instruction, since a person beside the chains and a person at the Spire portal can both reasonably say they have reached Blackrock Mountain.
Before You Go
The Upper route has an access requirement involving the Seal of Ascension in the Classic layout. That is different from finding the shared instance entrance, and it is not a reason to send a Lower group searching for a second outdoor dungeon door.
Specify LBRS or UBRS before recruiting and check the current Forever group limit and opener requirements for your intended run. An old retail guide can describe a different layout or version. This map is an exterior mountain locator, not an interior staircase diagram.
