Scholomance is beneath Caer Darrow, the island in southeastern Western Plaguelands. The ruined buildings on the island lead to the school entrance, but the locked access is worth arranging before the party makes the trip.

How to Reach the Entrance
- Travel to Caer Darrow in southeastern Western Plaguelands, around 69, 73 on the zone map.
- Cross onto the island and head into the ruined keep towards the school entrance.
- Open the locked access with the group's prepared key or another valid method, then continue to the instance portal.
Alliance and Horde Travel
Alliance groups can prepare from Chillwind Camp. Horde parties can approach through the western Plaguelands from the Bulwark side. Whichever route you use, meet on the island before sending one player alone into the entrance passages.
Before You Go
The original school is not the later retail remake. Older guides can also mix up the Caer Darrow approach and the actual underground doorway. The map marks the island destination; the entrance is reached through its buildings.
In the Classic layout, the Skeleton Key opens the school entrance. Confirm that your current Forever group has a working opener rather than assuming somebody completed the chain. Discuss quest objectives before entering so the run does not end one room short of what someone needs.
