War Thunder’s F-15EX and F-15IA Ra’am Will Carry Up to 12 Radar-Homing Missiles

Both Rank IX fighters will also carry up to 22 precision-guided munitions per sortie, with SPICE weapons among the Ra'am's options.

War Thunder’s upcoming Eagle’s Shadow update will add the F-15EX to the U.S. aviation tree and the F-15IA Ra’am to Israel’s, both at Rank IX. The fighters will carry up to 12 active radar-homing missiles apiece, with the F-15EX becoming the first American aircraft in the game to support that loadout. Gaijin’s aircraft breakdown also details their strike weapons and avionics.

The AIM-120D, which uses satellite-assisted guidance, is part of their air-to-air arsenal. For ground and maritime targets, the jets can carry SLAM-ER missiles with television-command guidance, along with anti-radiation and anti-ship weapons. Each can also take up to 22 precision-guided munitions in a sortie. The F-15IA’s air-to-ground options differ slightly and include SPICE munitions, while its air-to-air capabilities match the F-15EX.

The F-15EX also gets an AESA radar, helmet-mounted display targeting, a radar warning receiver, a voice warning system, and stronger engines intended to maintain its speed and flight performance under a heavy payload. Gaijin describes it as the game’s most heavily armed fighter and one of its best fourth-generation aircraft. Vehicle specifications may change before the jets are added.
