The refreshed Xbox PC app begins reaching Insiders on Nov. 5, bringing a reorganized library, friends and social tools in the main navigation, and faster loading. In its Nov. 5 announcement, Xbox says the app launches up to 60% faster, Home, Store, and Game Pass pages load up to 50% faster, and in-app windows open up to 65% faster.
Those figures come from Xbox’s own testing and can vary based on device, internet connection, system configuration, usage, and other factors. The refresh also adds updated filters and ways to organize games, puts friends within easier reach for chats and parties, and expands search across games, installed titles, add-ons, and people.
Game cards, Home, Settings, and animations are getting a visual refresh, too. The app already gave Insiders access to a cloud-playable library and cross-device play history in July 2025, so this update focuses on making those games and social features easier to reach through the PC app’s earlier cloud and play-history features.
Web access is expanding, with TV and VR changes underway
Xbox plans to bring its refreshed web experience to more players automatically over the next few weeks. Players can already try it ahead of that wider rollout. A new Library tab gathers cloud-playable games, whether they’re owned or available through Xbox Game Pass, and lets players browse by recent activity, genre, input options, and other filters.

On PCs and larger displays, desktop mode makes more room for browsing. The web experience also adds dark and light modes and five high-contrast options. Xbox is beginning to bring the refreshed look and navigation to cloud gaming apps on supported TVs and VR headsets, with adjustments intended for the different screen types.
