Apex Legends Cuts Crypto’s Drone Recall to 0.7 Seconds

The Nov. 4 update also fixes a drone-related crash and closes an Evac Tower exploit.

Apex Legends’ Nov. 4 update cuts Crypto’s drone recall time from 6 seconds to 0.7 seconds, letting players bring the drone back much sooner. It also fixes a crash caused by using ordnance while operating the drone and stops an exploit involving excessive Evac Towers.

Respawn says it is tracking match data and player feedback after Crypto’s rework, and acknowledges that some details missed the mark for Crypto mains. The recall adjustment is a quick change, while more planned changes require a full client update and should arrive soon, according to the Nov. 4 Steam update.

A recent gameplay trailer for Crypto’s rework showed his drone tagging enemies on sight alongside a rewired EMP. The recall adjustment is one part of the kit Respawn says it is still tuning.
