Apex Legends Cipher Will Add a Mythic Volt Skin With a Pixel-Art Assistant
The Split 1 Premium Battle Pass includes Legendary skins for Ash and Axle, plus a Reactive Wingman reward at Tier 60.
Apex Legends’ Cipher season will add Cryptic Core, a Mythic Volt skin with a built-in PALS assistant rendered in low-resolution pixel art. Respawn’s Cipher announcement on Steam says players can retheme it with Exotic Shards, adding a different retro-game cartridge and changing the nanites’ look and color. Cryptic Core will be a possible drop from Cipher Seasonal Packs, which are not available in all regions.
The Cipher Premium Battle Pass Split 1 will include Legendary skins for Ash and Axle, a Legendary Triple Take weapon skin, 10 Exotic Shards, and a Reactive Wingman skin at Tier 60.
Strongholds add a riskier prize hunt to the season. Opening one takes time and triggers an alarm that tells nearby squads where it is. The loot can include Care Package weapons, Corrupted Attachments, and EVO for the whole squad.
The wider patch will also bring the Akimbo Wingman and Crypto’s drone changes and Diamond-and-above Ranked bans, along with kit updates for Lifeline and Revenant.
