Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Iceland DLC Will Add Reykjavík and 4 Special Transport Routes
The November 10 expansion will bring a new Articulated Dumper cargo and four oversized-load jobs to Iceland.

Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Iceland expansion will bring Reykjavík’s roads, working freight depots and waterfront landmarks to the map, alongside four Special Transport routes across the island. SCS Software detailed the additions in its Steam announcement.
The Iceland DLC is scheduled to arrive on November 10. SCS says building Reykjavík at the game’s map scale meant balancing its city streets, industries and landmarks against space for suburbs and the surrounding landscape.
Route 41 will carry drivers through the capital toward Keflavík, while a short stretch of Route 49 will connect the city to Hringvegur, Iceland’s Ring Road.

Freight destinations include the Straumsvík aluminium smelter, a farming area in Mosfellsdalur near Route 36, and an oil-storage facility serving the capital and nearby region. In Garðabær, drivers will find an IKA store and logistics hub. Sundahöfn adds a container port and recycling company, while the city and nearby area will also have a Volvo dealership, service station and garage available to purchase.
Reykjavík’s waterfront will feature Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre, the Central Bank of Iceland, yellow harbor lighthouses and a statue of Ingólfur Arnarson. Further along the shoreline, the Sun Voyager sculpture looks out to sea, with Hallgrímskirkja’s tower visible from several parts of the city and on the approach. The map also includes a recruitment agency and a coach terminal, which SCS moved slightly from its real-world location to fit the map scale.

All four oversized-load routes will require the Special Transport DLC. They run from Selfoss to Selfoss, Keflavík to Selfoss, Blönduós to Akureyri, and Ólafsvík to Hólmavík. Professional escort teams will accompany the hauls, which include reservoir tanks, silos, boats, enormous tires and underground loaders. The update will also bring the Articulated Dumper, previously available only in American Truck Simulator, to Euro Truck Simulator 2.
