Proximity Chat Will Reach All of San Van in skate. on Nov. 9
The opt-in rollout will cover Downtown, The Stadium, S.U.M.R. Camp, and The Isle of Grom, ahead of a planned full release after Season 5.
skate. players will be able to opt into proximity voice chat across San Van starting Nov. 9, expanding the feature beyond its Isle of Morg test. Full Circle says player conversations about bringing it to other areas moved the rollout earlier than planned in the Nov. 3 Weekly Grind.
Chat will be available in Downtown, The Stadium, S.U.M.R. Camp, and The Isle of Grom. It remains opt-in. To enable it, go to Settings – Social – Proximity Voice Chat Toggle (Enable). The wider rollout is a step toward a full release the team is working toward after Season 5, not the full release itself.
With The Curse of Morg over, Isle of Grom has returned to its pre-event state. Access for the rest of Season 5 requires a 24-hour Water Taxi Day Pass for 500 Rip Chips or a skate.Premium Pass for unlimited access. The island’s return follows the event’s planned Nov. 3 end date in the Oct. 27 Weekly Grind update. Pump House Park will return after Season 5 ends, with less of the Morg theme.
