Corner Shop: NightShift is now available on Xbox Series X|S and PC with Xbox Play Anywhere support. Players take on overnight convenience-store work as Adam Callahan tries to keep his personal life from collapsing.
Adam stocks shelves, takes deliveries, cleans the floor, scans groceries, checks security cameras and serves customers. His relationship with his wife has broken down, he has lost contact with his daughter, money is tight and his mental health is deteriorating. Even after a difficult conversation, the next customer still needs help.
Blackouts, alarms and unsettling customers can signal danger, but the game also leaves room for doubt. A strange moment on camera or a conversation Adam remembers differently may leave him unsure what actually happened.
In its Xbox Wire breakdown of the game’s design, the development team says it consulted psychologists experienced with serious mental health conditions and specialists in difficult family situations. Their input informed scenes involving Adam’s psychologist and wife. The game remains fictional horror and sometimes heightens situations for tension, while avoiding the shortcut of making mental illness the monster.
Store management stays active throughout the story. Players serve customers, handle deliveries and clean, while cameras, alarms and stronger locks can help protect the shop. Longer hours bring in money Adam needs, but exhaustion has consequences. Security cameras do double duty, guarding the store and giving Adam another reason to question what he saw.

Player choices affect what Adam uncovers and which of the game’s 4 endings he reaches. The Microsoft Store listing estimates Story Mode at about 15 hours at an average pace and describes an Endless Mode focused on managing the shop as the horror continues.
