GTA 6’s $20 Ultimate Edition Upgrade Comes Down to the Extras

Standard costs $79.99 (£69.99), while Ultimate costs $99.99 (£89.99), and a preorder of either edition includes the Vintage Vice City Pack.

GTA 6’s Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 (£89.99), compared with $79.99 (£69.99) for the Standard Edition, a $20 or £20 difference. Both versions include the base game, and preordering either also brings the Vintage Vice City Pack. Ultimate’s premium pays for additional vehicles, weapons, shops, cosmetics and activities.

What the Ultimate Edition adds

The vehicle package includes the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, Shitzu Squalo and ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, along with Jason’s Safehouse vehicles, the Dinka Enduro motorcycle and Crest kayak. Jason’s Vapid Ganado low-riding pickup also gets a modkit. The Buggy is tied to the Mud Club and comes with Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, which has a weapons locker and a secure place to hide stolen goods. The Classic Car Collection side mission sends players to find unfinished cars and restore them through Wyman.

Weapon bonuses include Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers with exclusive etchings and attachments, plus personalized versions of Jason’s Girardi ES9 and Lucia’s Klose K17 pistols. The Vice City Style pack adds outfits, hairstyles, tattoos and more. Goodtime Gear brings outfits for Jason and Lucia linked to GTA 6’s television shows.

Ultimate also grants access to Rideout Customs, One-Eyed Willie’s, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305 and Electric Fang Tattoo Parlor, with edition-only customization and services. The PTT Youngin$ Illegal Goods Store includes a raid mission with special items and contraband.

The preorder bonuses have different terms. Ultimate preorders include a free month of GTA+, while the Vintage Vice City Pack comes with any edition preorder. The pack includes a ’55 Vapid Stanier, an Ocean Beach garage, vintage-style outfits and hairstyles, and weapon patterns inspired by Tommy Vercetti. Since Standard preorders get it too, the pack is not part of Ultimate’s unique $20 or £20 value.

For players who mainly want the base game, Standard costs $20 or £20 less. Ultimate makes more sense if its vehicles, shops, cosmetics and side activities are the kind of content you expect to use. The bundle has plenty of extras, but which ones appeal to you matters more than the length of the list.

Would the Ultimate-only vehicles, shops and side activities justify the extra $20 or £20 for you? For more on GTA 6’s edition bonuses as launch approaches, follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
