Sunkenland’s Halloween update, v0.9.35, adds a new island with eerie fog, jack-o’-lanterns, and abandoned graveyards. The v0.9.35 Steam update also fixes several problems involving companions, weapons, and objects disappearing after a save reload.

One fix adds save recovery for companions stranded on the seabed after sinking with a boat. It follows the recent expansion of companion jobs in Sunkenland v0.9.20, which gave recruits more ways to help at bases and aboard boats. The update also addresses missing weapons removed from quick bars, companion weapon slots, or inventory, along with nearby objects that disappeared for clients after reloading a save while aboard a boat.

Network handling for dropped items also receives an optimization intended to reduce overhead and improve performance.

Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where companions could sink to the seabed along with boats. Added save recovery to restore companions already stuck on the seabed.
Fixed an issue where weapons could disappear after being removed from the player’s quick bar, companion weapon slots, or inventory.
Fixed an issue where chests and other nearby objects would disappear for clients after saving and reloading while aboard a boat, only reappearing after disembarking.
