Sunkenland v0.8.04 Tackles Underwater Glitches, Merchants, and Mission Stalls
The update fixes bird traps, breath management, FOV saves, and several mission blockers while also improving merchants, ladder climbing, and performance.

Sunkenland update v0.8.04 spends most of its time cleaning up bugs, but it also touches a few systems that players will feel right away. Underwater health drain, crafting hiccups, raid flow, merchant behavior, and several mission blockers are all on the list.
The patch also brings some performance work, including fewer frame drops when opening the UI, plus a broader pass on merchant presentation and movement systems.
Patch Notes
The biggest changes here are easy to spot. Trading, helicopters, ladders, and a handful of quest and progression systems all got attention, which should help the game feel steadier across a few rough spots.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the Bird Trap not accepting fish bait or bush seeds
- Fixed holding your breath underwater not draining health
- Fixed abnormal camera behavior in certain underwater situations
- Fixed radio listening progress resetting after dismantling and rebuilding a Radio Antenna that had already been listened to
- Fixed an issue on Eden Island where the area could be counted as liberated before all enemies were cleared, causing the faction to change to Eden Islanders and making related kill missions impossible to complete
- Fixed player-assembled guns sometimes losing their attachments over time
- Fixed the “One Hit Kill” Steam achievement not unlocking
- Fixed the Trading Outpost map icon appearing before the outpost itself became available in the world
- Fixed FOV settings not being saved
- Fixed quartz ore no longer appearing on the Ore Detector after quartz was removed
- Fixed the Stove and Ammo Workshop not delivering crafted items after saving and reloading if crafting had already finished
- Fixed the airdrop crate from the Helicopter Distress Signal broadcast disappearing after saving and reloading, making the mission impossible to complete
- Fixed an issue where enemy raids could get stuck before reaching the player’s base
- Fixed the Armored Speedboat and Heavy Armored Speedboat not stopping automatically after the player disembarks
Revisions and Optimizations
- Optimized several locations, including the Trading Outpost, Ship Graveyard, and Eden Island.
- Improved the merchant UI
- Reworked the Commission Merchant into a Trade Merchant, who exchanges a variety of items for silver coins
- Improved helicopter landing physics
- Fixed severe frame drops when opening the UI
- Improved ladder climbing for a smoother experience and fixed an issue where connected ladders could unexpectedly cause players to fall out of the climbing animation
