The First Descendant Penalized 526 Users in Its Oct. 23-29 Crackdown
The sweep included 516 matchmaking penalties, 9 permanent bans and a 7-day trading restriction.

The First Descendant penalized 526 users during its Oct. 23-29, 2026, PDT crackdown, according to the game’s Steam enforcement notice. Separate matchmaking penalties accounted for 516 of the actions.
Uncooperative play led to 485 matchmaking penalties, while unusual gameplay activity accounted for 31 more. Nine users received permanent bans: 4 for creating, distributing or using unauthorized programs and 5 for gaining unfair benefits through exploitation of the Open Store payment process. One other user received a 7-day trading restriction after abnormal transaction records were detected.
The previous Oct. 7-15 crackdown covered 503 users, including 483 matchmaking penalties and 20 permanent bans. That period spanned 9 calendar days, compared with 7 for the latest sweep, so the totals are not a like-for-like weekly comparison.
Enforcement actions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can report it through the in-game feature. Anyone disputing a penalty tied to Open Store payment-process exploitation can contact Customer Service through the official website’s 1:1 Support option. Chargeback disputes should go to the platform store that handled the payment.
