The First Descendant Penalized 503 Users in Its Oct. 7-15 Crackdown
Uncooperative play led to 455 matchmaking penalties, while 20 users received permanent bans.

The First Descendant penalized 503 users during its Oct. 7-15, 2026, PDT crackdown, including 483 matchmaking penalties and 20 permanent bans, according to the game’s Steam notice.
Uncooperative play accounted for 455 matchmaking penalties, and unusual gameplay activity led to 28 more. The permanent bans were split evenly: 10 for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs, and 10 for gaining unfair benefits through exploitation of the Open Store payment process.
The previous Oct. 1-7 review counted 490 users. The new total is 13 higher, but the periods overlap on Oct. 7 and cover different lengths, so they are not a direct week-to-week comparison.
Enforcement actions were based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can report it through the in-game feature. Anyone disputing a penalty tied to Open Store payment exploitation can contact Customer Service through the official website’s 1:1 Support option. Chargeback disputes should go to the platform store that handled the payment.
