War Thunder’s Nuclear Escalation Simulator Test Runs Through Oct. 29
The October 27-29 test uses four Battle Rating brackets across Tropical Coast and Southeastern City.

War Thunder’s Nuclear Escalation test in Simulator Battles is running through October 29 at 13:00 GMT, bringing the large-scale mode to simulator flight-model settings and marker configurations. Gaijin’s Steam announcement sets the test window from October 27 at 13:00 GMT to the October 29 cutoff. Players can find it under Nuclear Escalation in the Events & Tournaments menu.
The test keeps the mode’s existing framework but applies Simulator Battles difficulty, including its corresponding flight model and marker setup. Battles take place on Tropical Coast and Southeastern City, with ground vehicles grouped by era according to Battle Rating. Update 2.59.0.72 had already added a Southeastern City mission to Nuclear Escalation’s random battles.
Matchmaking uses four Battle Rating brackets: 8.7-9.7, 10.0-11.0, 11.3-13.0, and 13.3+. Rewards are calculated using the same method as Enduring Confrontation.
