Key to Understanding is Fence’s Seasonal-mode encryption-key retrieval task, not an ordinary PvP/PvE quest. Find Black Division encryption keys on Black Division operatives and bring the found-in-raid item to Fence.
Requirements
- Play in Seasonal mode, not ordinary PvP/PvE. This is part of the KORD BREACH Seasonal questline.
- Reach character level 20 to start this quest.
- Obtain one Black Division encryption keys item with found-in-raid status.
Objectives
- Locate and obtain the Black Division encryption keys
- Hand over the found item
Search Black Division Loot
Search Black Division operatives for the document item named Black Division encryption keys. Not every operative carries it, so check the loot rather than assuming that a Black Division kill guarantees the keys.
Keep searching if the item is absent. Do not replace it with a laptop, an SSD, or a generic key: the objective is for the named encryption-keys item.
Bring the Keys to Fence
When you find the keys, get them out with found-in-raid status intact, then use Fence’s hand-in for Key to Understanding. One item satisfies the requirement even though its name is plural. Confirm that the correct item is accepted and complete the task with Fence.
