Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Iceland DLC Will Add Scenic Viewpoints
The preview features Seljalandsfoss, the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss, Stuðlagil Canyon and Goðafoss.

SCS Software is turning Iceland’s famous scenery into optional roadside stops in the upcoming Euro Truck Simulator 2 DLC. Drivers will be able to pull into a viewpoint and activate a trigger for a cutscene that presents the surrounding area, a feature the studio details in its Steam announcement.
Near Akureyri, Goðafoss brings a piece of Icelandic history to the map. A legend dating to around 1000 AD says chieftain Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði threw pagan idols into the waterfall after Iceland adopted Christianity, marking the country’s peaceful transition to the new faith.
Further east, Stuðlagil Canyon cuts through Jökuldalur Valley. Its basalt walls became visible in 2009 after a hydroelectric project lowered the Jökulsá á Dal River, revealing the rock formations and blue glacial water.

Southwest of Reykjavík, the Blue Lagoon offers a different kind of stop on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The geothermal spa formed in 1976 during construction of the Svartsengi Geothermal Power Plant, when excess geothermal seawater flowed into a nearby lava field. Its milky-blue color comes from its silica content.

The waterfalls bring their own variety. Seljalandsfoss, beside the Ring Road in southern Iceland, drops around 60 meters down a cliff into a pool. Gullfoss, east of Reykjavík, is known for its two-tiered fall, glacial source and canyon setting.
Other viewpoints named in the preview include Þingvellir, Geysir and Jökulsárlón. The Iceland DLC is scheduled to launch on November 10, 2026, with more scenic stops waiting beyond the locations shown so far.
