Diablo 4 Season 16 Will Let Players Steer War Plans Toward Their Priorities

Players will earn points through War Plan activities and spend up to 3 on nodes that raise the odds of preferred activities or rewards.

Diablo 4 Season 16 will give players more control over the activities and rewards they see in War Plans. The endgame system, introduced with the Lord of Hatred expansion, is gaining a progression page called War Plan Tactics.

Completing activities through War Plans advances Tactics progression and provides points to spend on activity and reward nodes. Activity nodes can take up to 3 points each. Points invested in Helltides, Nightmare Dungeons, or The Pit make those activities more likely to appear in a War Plan. Putting at least 1 point into Helltides or Nightmare Dungeons also opens a way to favor Greater Helltides or Escalation Dungeons, respectively.

Reward nodes can also take up to 3 points each. Options include Armor, Weapons, Jewelry, Obducite, Salvage, Gems, Gold, Activity Keys, Horadric Cube Materials, and Talisman Items. These choices raise the odds of seeing preferred rewards rather than guaranteeing a specific result.

Turning in completed War Plans also awards Marks of Wisdom, which players can spend to change activity trees and the Tactics page. War Plan Tactics will be available in both Seasonal and Eternal content.

The 3.3.0 PTR is scheduled to run from October 27 at 10 a.m. PT, 1 p.m. ET, 6 p.m. BST, and 7 p.m. CEST through November 3 at the same times. A testing NPC will let players quickly reach maximum character level and Paragon rank, and provide Gold, crafting materials, and equipment.

Which activity or reward would you prioritize first? For updates as the 3.3.0 test gets underway, follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
