World of Warcraft 12.x Has a Higher Median Bug Count per Release
An unofficial tally of 611 issues puts 12.x above both 10.x and 11.x, including for bugs classified as disruptive or blocking.

An unofficial count of 611 documented World of Warcraft Retail issues puts the median at 25 per release for the 12.x series, compared with 21 for both 10.x and 11.x. Most entries came from Blizzard blue posts and hotfix notices, so the figures track documented issues rather than every bug players encountered.
The tally also records more severe issues in 12.x. Its median for bugs classified as causing major gameplay disruption or blocking activity or sessions was 4.5 per release, up from 3 in both earlier series. Those severity classifications were the contributor’s subjective assessment.
Individual releases varied considerably. The tally counts 44 issues for 12.1.5, matching 10.0.2, while 12.0.7 had 13. The higher 12.x median does not mean every release in the series had more documented issues than every earlier patch.
The contributor cautions that the collection is incomplete and says the number of bugs alone cannot capture how much they affect players. Perceived impact can also depend on the issue and the community’s experience of the game.
