Information Trail takes you back to The Lab after Extending the Operation, this time to recover Scourge’s smartphone for Therapist. Getting the phone is only part of the job. You also need to survive the raid and hand it over before you can move on.
Requirements and Objectives
Complete Extending the Operation, then accept Information Trail from Therapist.
- Obtain the intel from Scourge.
- Survive and extract from The Lab.
- Hand over Scourge’s smartphone to Therapist.
Therapist supplies one TerraGroup Labs access keycard as initial equipment. Collect it before preparing your raid.
Where to Find Scourge
Scourge can appear in two areas on the first level of The Lab.
- The reception area.
- Near the orange dome in the main working area, O11.
He has guards with him, so do not rush straight to a body after the first kill. Clear the nearby threats and find cover before searching. The phone is in Scourge’s pockets, not a separate quest pickup sitting somewhere in the room.
Check the item’s name when you loot it. You need Scourge’s smartphone, not an ordinary phone found elsewhere in the raid.
How to Complete Information Trail
- Accept the quest and prepare an extraction plan. Decide how you intend to leave before committing to the boss fight.
- Find Scourge and recover his smartphone. Search his pockets once it is safe to loot, then make sure you have taken the correct item.
- Survive and extract from The Lab. The raid must end with Survived status. Simply picking up the phone does not finish the survival objective, and a Run-Through is not enough.
- Hand the smartphone to Therapist and complete the task. Check that all three objectives are finished before claiming your rewards.
Once you have the phone, give yourself the best chance of getting it home. Extra loot is not worth losing the item to a fight you could have avoided on the way out.
Does the Phone Need Found-in-Raid Status?
No found-in-raid status is required for the smartphone. If you find one for sale on the Flea Market, buying it offers an alternative to recovering it from the boss yourself. The Lab survival objective remains separate, though. Buying and handing over the phone does not remove the need to survive and extract from that map.
