Battlefield 6’s Dead Space Event Will Begin Oct. 20 With 16-Player PvE Mode
Marker Incursion sends squads after Marked Soldiers and Marker Shrines, while the DS-23 Pulse Rifle appears as an event pickup.

Battlefield 6’s Dead Space: Convergence is scheduled to begin Oct. 20 as a limited-time Halloween event, with its central attraction, Marker Incursion, built for 16 players. The Steam event briefing says squads will fight through corrupted territory, destroy Marker Shrines, and stop the Marker before its influence triggers Convergence.
The crossover was previously teased as a limited-time PvE event in the Season 5 reveal. Its story sends Pax Armata forces to Area 51 to secure classified technology, where they uncover a Marker hidden inside the facility. Soon, soldiers experience violent hallucinations, see strange symbols across the base, and turn on one another.
Marker Incursion turns the Marker into a squad objective
Fighting grows tougher as squads push deeper into corrupted territory. Marked Soldiers are former military personnel under the Marker’s influence. They mistake allies for enemies and defend the source of their obsession.
Marker Shrines add another threat. Those affected by the signal build the smaller replicas, which strengthen the Marker’s hold on an area and draw in more resistance. Destroying Shrines helps squads maintain their advance toward the source and stop Convergence.
Dead Space gear and rewards await in the event
The DS-23 Pulse Rifle makes its Battlefield debut as a Battle Pick-Up in Marker Incursion. The weapon has a high rate of fire and a design familiar to Dead Space fans.
Event challenges offer Dead Space-themed rewards, including the Aegis VII Soldier Skin, the RIG-Certified SMG Weapon Skin, weapon stickers, soldier patches, and player card backgrounds. The Aegis VII skin leads the collection, drawing inspiration from the industrial engineering suits associated with Dead Space. Dead Space-themed store bundles are also part of the event.
Keep an eye out for strange transmissions, hidden references, and environmental storytelling throughout the event.
