Valheim 1.0.20 Will Improve Trophy Drops and Fix Cheated Item Flags
Monster star levels will affect trophy chances, while a Mac App Store delay will temporarily suspend crossplay with other platforms.

Valheim 1.0.20 will make monster star level count toward trophy drop chances and keep rare-drop pseudo-random logic from resetting between player sessions. Iron Gate says that should give rare drops a fairer distribution, addressing player complaints that kills were producing too few trophies. The Steam announcement also details fixes for cheated item flags, dedicated-server frame rates, and Xbox settings.
A fix for items incorrectly marked as cheated was still pending during the earlier 1.0.15 rollout. Patch 1.0.20 will reset the cheated flag on items and build pieces from earlier versions, reversing a bug in the initial 1.0 release that mislabeled some legitimately obtained items. It will also correct cases where Cheat Sword and Cheat Sledge were not treated as cheated.
The patch also addresses a possible Forge of Potential exploit and adjusts attachment points for sheathed weapons. A dedicated-server fix targets a case where a server could run without a frame-rate cap if V-sync was enabled in a client on the same computer, wasting substantial CPU time. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S will also get a fix for settings that failed to save between sessions.
The Mac App Store version will be delayed, leaving crossplay unavailable between its players and players on other platforms until the update catches up. Crossplay should work again for everyone once the patch reaches the Mac App Store.
