Grand Theft Auto VI is reportedly targeted for PC in the first quarter of 2027, with GamesBeat’s report citing four industry sources familiar with Rockstar Games’ plans. If the Q1 window holds, a PC release would arrive by March 31, though the date remains a reported target rather than a confirmed release date.
All four sources requested anonymity to avoid damaging their business relationships. Rockstar did not respond to GamesBeat’s request for comment before publication.

The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026. A PC release at the end of the reported window would follow a little over four months later. That would be a shorter wait than for earlier entries: Grand Theft Auto V took one year and seven months to reach PC, while Grand Theft Auto IV arrived about seven months after its console release.
Former Rockstar producer John Ricchio described the studio’s console-first approach in an interview with Kiwi Talkz. Starting with consoles gives developers known hardware constraints to build around before adapting the game for PC, rather than developing for PC first and then working out how to fit the game to potentially less powerful hardware. His explanation offers context for the release order, but does not confirm the reported PC timing.
