EA SPORTS FC 27 Update 1.0.4 Fixes Career Mode Transfer Issues
The live patch also corrects the Liga MX season restart, FUT errors, and The Grounds loading problems, with no gameplay balance changes.
EA SPORTS FC 27 version 1.0.4 is live, bringing fixes and adjustments for Career Mode, Ultimate Team, The Grounds, and other areas. EA’s Steam update makes no gameplay balance or tuning changes. EA had identified generated-player ratings and Liga MX progression as Career Mode priorities in its September 29 Career Mode developer update.
Career Mode gets several of the patch’s most practical changes. The update reduces the number of generated high-OVR or high-potential players, changes how clubs respond to bids well above their requested price, and addresses problems with signing free agents outside an active transfer window. It also fixes a Liga MX calendar issue that restarted the season in May instead of mid-January.
The Career Mode work follows a separate version 1.0.3 fix for players secretly requesting transfers without warning, even when their morale was high. Version 1.0.4 also tackles a FUT error that could appear after matches, incorrect base-item visuals in Player Picks, and loading and post-match interface problems in The Grounds.

Ultimate Team
Addressed the following issues:
- In certain situations, a “Service Unavailable” error could appear after completing a match in FUT modes.
- Sometimes, players could have seen incorrect visuals of base items when opening certain Player Picks. Base items are not intended to have these holographic visuals.
The Grounds
Addressed the following issues:
- When viewing the active club from the Player Profile, a loading screen requiring a title restart could have occurred in certain situations.
- Addressed instances of incorrect post-match UI flow.
Career Mode
Made the following changes:
- Reduced the amount of High OVR or High Potential players that could be generated in Manager Career.
- In Manager Career negotiations, offering a transfer sum significantly higher than a club’s requested price will still trigger a response rather than an immediate acceptance of the bid.
Addressed the following issues:
- In Manager Career, players could have found themselves unable to sign Free Agents if the transfer market was disabled or if they were outside of an active transfer window.
- In some cases during Manager Career negotiations, the CPU could have responded with counteroffers that incorrectly exceed their originally demanded or guaranteed fees.
- A stability issue could have occurred when selecting certain teams in Live Start Points.
- The Liga MX season was restarting in May instead of the intended mid-January.
General, Audio, and Visual
Addressed the following issues:
- In FC Lite, unintended teams could show when randomising teams in Kick-Off.
- Addressed various stability issues that could have occurred.
