Hearts of Iron IV Asks Players to Revisit Its Strike System

The developer is comparing generic strikes tied to low stability with country-specific events, including those in Australia's communist paths.

Hearts of Iron IV is asking players what its strike system gets right and what needs work. The new Steam Dev Corner opens a feedback discussion, not an announcement of changes.

Paradox wants players to compare generic strikes tied to low stability with country-specific events, such as those in Australia’s communist paths. It also asks which national strike events have worked well or poorly, and why.

The questions extend to when players want strikes to occur, what the current systems lack, and whether strikes should become more complex. Paradox says an overhaul probably would not be part of this expansion, if it happens at all.

What would make strikes feel like a more meaningful part of a Hearts of Iron IV campaign? For more coverage of the systems Paradox is asking players to weigh in on, follow us on X, Bluesky, YouTube, Instagram, Steam, and Telegram.
