Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 DMZ Trailer Puts North Korea’s Arms Hunt in Hajin
Operators face an off-the-books mission to stop North Korean forces from securing chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4‘s DMZ Worldbuilder trailer turns Hajin into an off-the-books race to reach chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons before North Korean forces can secure them. Military facilities still hold the arms after the campaign, so operators must gather their own resources in the field while hunting enemy combatants.
Radiation from a nuclear blast has left Hajin uninhabitable. The region sits where Russia meets the Korean peninsula, and North Korean forces are moving back in to recover the weapons. Hajin spans South Korea, North Korea, and Russia, with roaming factions, a hideout, and crafting among the mode’s wider systems. The trailer also teases additional Hajin lore and secrets.
Hajin’s changing weather will affect how squads move through the region. Heavy rain can reduce visibility, while dense fog changes how players explore the area.
AI guards will protect facilities, while enemy units can travel in convoys and arrive by helicopter. New squad-generation systems are expected to improve on the AI in Black Ops 7‘s Endgame, with opponents coordinating, navigating, reacting, and applying pressure in less predictable ways.
PvP adds another risk to an already hostile deployment. Attacking other operators without provocation builds Rogue reputation, and escalating bounties can eventually make an aggressor Wanted. Other players can buy intelligence that points toward a Wanted player’s location, turning repeated aggression into a trackable hunt.
Infinity Ward’s behind-the-scenes YouTube series, From The Ward, has a new episode scheduled for October 5 that is expected to cover DMZ’s development. Gameplay breakdowns covering mode details, bounties, and story missions are scheduled for October 6 through 8, followed by final intel on October 9.
Modern Warfare 4 is scheduled to launch on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.
