The First Descendant Penalized 917 Users in Its Latest Abuse Sweep
Most actions were matchmaking penalties, including 851 tied to uncooperative play and 48 tied to unusual gameplay activity.

The First Descendant penalized 917 users during its latest abuse crackdown, which covered Sept. 21 through Oct. 1, 2026, PDT. The total includes 899 separate matchmaking penalties and 18 permanent game bans, according to the game’s Steam notice.
Uncooperative play accounted for 851 matchmaking penalties, while 48 more followed detections of unusual gameplay activity. The 18 permanent bans included 4 for creating, distributing, or using unauthorized programs and 14 for unfair gains through exploitation of the Open Store payment process.
The latest total is 438 higher than the 479 users counted in the Sept. 17 through Sept. 21 review. The periods are different lengths and overlap on Sept. 21, so the figures are not a like-for-like weekly comparison.
The notice says enforcement was based on player reports and monitoring. Players who encounter abnormal or abusive behavior can report it through the in-game feature. Those who want to challenge a claim involving Open Store payment-process exploitation can contact Customer Service through the official website’s Customer Service and 1:1 Support options. Chargeback disputes should go to the platform store that handled the payment.
