Update, Epic Games have released an update regarding the matter, concluding yet another delay of Season 3.
Hey Fortnite community,
Recent events are a heavy reminder of ongoing injustices in society, from the denial of basic human rights to the impact of racism both overt and subtle against people of color. We’re acutely aware of the pain our friends, families, team members, players, and communities are experiencing.
We believe in equality and justice, diversity and inclusion, and that these fundamentals are above politics.
The team is eager to move Fortnite forward, but we need to balance the Season 3 launch with time for the team to focus on themselves, their families, and their communities.
The live event The Device will be delayed to Monday, June 15, and the Season 3 launch delayed to Wednesday, June 17. We know this delay comes on the heels of another one, and we appreciate your patience and understanding during these difficult times.

Previous writing:
Due to recent unpleasant events in the US that shortly escalated with protests throughout the whole world, Fortnite’s upcoming season is more likely to receive another delay. After the first setback that occurred not long ago due to unknown reasons, together with the other couple of games that have decided to stall the release of new content, such as CoD: Modern Warfare, Fortnite is much likely going to extend the current season; drag the start of Season 3 of Chapter 2 to a later date.
Fortnite’s Season 3 was first supposed to arrive around June 4, for later to be delayed until June 11. The closure, which should be accompanied by a live event scheduled to start on June 6, is supposed to be a variable of whether or not Season 3 will begin at the scheduled date. If Epic Games wants to continue with the launch operation, then the event would start on June 6.
As the worldwide protests are still in an ascending phase, Epic Games is probably leaning to another delay of their upcoming Season in Fortnite. However, as we said, we’ll at least have to wait until June 6 and see whether or not an event will be a part of Fortnite.
