War Thunder‘s 243rd Steam Screenshot Competition is now open, asking players to capture vehicles in active combat. Firepower displays and dogfights are both valid directions for the shot, and entries remain open through October 2, 2026.
Participants must upload a new screenshot to the Steam Community Hub submission page and use #WTscreen243 as the entire title. No other text can appear in the title. Gaijin Entertainment details the full rules in its Steam announcement.
Once submissions close, six winners will be selected. Three will come from the highest community ratings, while judges will choose the other three. Each winner will receive 300 Golden Eagles, with rewards delivered to the author’s account within 14 working days.
Rules for War Thunder’s combat screenshots
Every entry needs to follow the competition’s combat focus and the submission rules below:
- Show combat action in the screenshot.
- Use
#WTscreen243as the only text in the title. - Submit your own new screenshot, and do not reuse an image that appeared in another competition or publication.
- Follow War Thunder’s rules.
- Submit a raw screenshot captured in the game. Outside editing software and Nvidia Ansel filters are not allowed.
- Use War Thunder’s built-in filters, settings, and replay functionality.
- Artists can win through popular voting only once during any four-competition period.
The combat round follows the 242nd Sky Odyssey round, which closed on September 25 after asking players to feature vehicles or locations from that update. The new brief trades scenic update coverage for a well-timed exchange of fire or a dogfight.
