War Thunder’s 242nd Steam Screenshot Competition is now open, giving players until September 25 to capture the best-looking moments from the Sky Odyssey update. Six winners will be chosen, with three selected through community votes and three picked by the judges, and each winner will receive 300 GE.
Entries must feature a vehicle or a new or reworked location from the Sky Odyssey update. Players must submit their work to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub using the tag #WTscreen242. The screenshot title cannot contain any other text.
Gaijin Entertainment outlined the full rules in its Steam announcement. Screenshots must be new, created by the person submitting them, and compliant with War Thunder’s rules. Only raw screenshots taken from the game are accepted, so outside editing software and visual enhancements such as Nvidia Ansel filters are not allowed.

- Submit a new screenshot that has not appeared in another competition or publication.
- Use only the game’s built-in filters, settings, and replay functionality.
- Follow War Thunder’s rules and submit your own screenshot.
- Artists can win through popular vote only once every 4 screenshot competitions.
