Dune: Awakening 1.5.3.4 Hotfix Will Address Console Login and Save Errors

The client-side update will also cover transfer lockups, missing building pieces, map markers, and a buggy turret exit problem.

Dune: Awakening version 1.5.3.4 will tackle a cluster of login, save, transfer, and cross-platform problems as the latest hotfix is deployed. The biggest issues include 7X3 errors seen after the full console launch on September 22 and a Windows/Steam save error caused by external locks on the database.

Funcom detailed the changes in its Steam announcement. The hotfix requires a client-side download, and players should restart the Steam client if it does not appear automatically. Servers will be coming back up shortly. Known issues are available through the game’s Discord server and Steam discussion boards.

Console stability is a major focus. The update will fix 7X3 errors and add more logging to help Microsoft identify why a few players could not log into platform servers. It will also address an XBOX startup problem where suspending the game left saves unavailable after resuming until the title was restarted. PlayStation Family Sharing will regain access to DLCs as well.

On Windows and Steam, the hotfix will address the “Failed to save database: IO operation failed with error code 0x000497” message when external file locks interfere with the save database. Private-server owners will also get a correction for custom settings that were ignored when ServerCustomSettings.ini did not include DifficultyLevel=Custom. Updated servers will receive the corrected file, while characters stuck after cross-realm transfers on private servers will be unblocked.

The patch follows the 1.5.3.3 hotfix, which addressed progression loss, incorrect character data, base placement, and other issues introduced around the same update cycle.
