Dune: Awakening 1.5.3.3 Hotfix Tackles Progression Loss and Wrong Character Data
The update also adds a fallback for missed QTE inputs, fixes base placement issues, and removes a legacy graphics option from PS5.

Dune: Awakening version 1.5.3.3 is being deployed with fixes for progression loss, incorrect character data, base placement, and several other problems affecting players. The hotfix requires a client-side download, and players should restart their Steam client if it does not appear automatically. Servers will be coming back up shortly. It follows the 1.5.3.2 hotfix, which addressed server recommendations and two visual presentation problems in the preceding hotfix.
One of the more important fixes addresses cases where failing to join a server could show the wrong character data in the Characters tab. That could lead players to delete or enter the wrong character, so the correction should remove a particularly risky source of confusion.
The update also adds a fallback for missed QTE inputs during the Awakening cinematic in Forty Fears. If the inputs are not registered, the cinematic will now complete automatically after 10 seconds.
On PS5, the Display settings no longer show the legacy Balanced Graphics Mode option. The mode had already been replaced by Quality, but the old choice remained visible. Other fixes cover progression loss, Base Reconstruction Tool placement, Overland map behavior, the journey step for placing a backed-up base, and incorrect ping displays on consoles.
